About us

A new way of living internationally for women on the move

La Joie Homebase® was created to open a different way of living across countries — one that allows continuity, community, and a sense of belonging.

We are building a network of homebases in multiple locations, where women can join for different lengths of time and return again. Not to start over, but to step back into a familiar way of living — shared, connected, and real.

What It Feels Like

You arrive, and you don’t have to figure things out.

There is a home, a rhythm, and a small circle of women already sharing life in a natural way. You step into it easily — with space to be on your own, and space to connect when it feels right.

Days are not planned, but they are not empty. Meals happen, conversations unfold, and the surrounding place becomes part of your everyday life — not something observed from the outside.

You are not a guest, and you are not passing through.

You are part of something that continues — in this place, and in the next.

Become Part of La Joie Homebase®

La Joie Homebase® is growing across countries — and with it, the need for the right people to help shape and hold this way of living.

We are not building a traditional team, but a circle of individuals who contribute with care, presence, and an understanding of people and place.

As a La Joie Sorella

You step into the role of host, living alongside residents and holding the rhythm of daily life — a position of responsibility, continuity, and paid contribution.

As a La Joie Ambassador

You introduce women to La Joie Homebase® and, when aligned, are acknowledged through commission or meaningful time within our homebases.

This is not simply training. It is an entry into a way of working that reflects the same values as the living model itself.

Both programs carry a fee, reflecting the professional nature of the roles.

To learn more or to ask about upcoming training periods, you are welcome to contact usdirectly.

Madame Hanne Nuutinen

Founder

Madame Hanne Nuutinen hails from Finland but as a world citizen, she brings both Nordic charm and an international view to our community. Driven by a dream of creating homebases in the world's most enchanting corners and cherishing different cultures, Hanne is eager to share her ideas and experiences with other like-minded women.

Her heart is captivated by Southern France and Italy, where the landscapes and culture resonate deeply with her. Hanne delights in good company, delicious food and wine, long walks, skiing, traveling, and music from jazz to gospel. Chili adds an extra spice to her life.

She cherishes Finnish traditions like sauna and spending time in nature with her daughter. Hanne admires everything beautiful and lives by her motto:

"Stand up, show up, speak up, share, support, shine and smile."

Madame Annamari Lammassaari

Founder

Six years ago, Annamari embraced the enchanting beauty of Provence with just a one-way ticket and two suitcases. Now, she empowers smart, solo, and independent women aged 50+ to take charge of their lives. She believes in the power of togetherness, sisterhood, and the joy of life to open hearts to new possibilities.

Raised in Finnish Lapland by a resilient mother, Annamari learned to carve her path independently, drawing on Sisu—a Finnish expression of grit, resilience, and bravery. Her joyhood, a chosen attitude to life, has guided her through life's challenges.

Her motto? Adding life to years!

Annamari is known for her unique blend of vision and humanity: "Annamari Lammassaari, I learned from you that you can be feminine, flirt, laugh, ask questions - and still be an influencer, and founder."
